Corning Family Fun Day

This past weekend was Family Fun Day for Corning employees. It was at a park beside the battleship, so we got to do a boat ride on the Cape Fear River, and TJ played some carnival games. They fed us a barbecue dinner, with fried chicken and shrimp and also had some cotton candy, popcorn and soda at some booths. Besides being eaten alive by monstrous mosquitos, we had lots of fun.

Here are a few pictures...

Sorry the pics aren't great, they were taken with my phone.

Laying Tile

I had a couple days off so I redid my in laws bathroom first I tore out the floor that was rotten braced and laid the new floor. Then I tiled the floor these are the pictures of the initial lay. After it dries I will need to put in the grout and the toilet.
This saw made my job so much easier I'm glad I had it to cut the tile. Straight, perfect and exact cuts. The floor after completing the initial lay down of the tiles. these next ones are the corners. All four.

Sunday Cookout

Yesterday we had a little cookout for dinner. We wanted to use the grill at least once this summer, so we took advantage of the nice weather and our awesome back patio. Here are a few pics of the boys....

Bye bye!!

After postponing their departure time a couple of times, my parents left yesterday afternoon. And, no, Chandra did not have her baby before they drove off. They will have fun though, and the three weeks will probably go by a lot faster than anyone expects it to.
So, bye bye Mom and Dad- TJ is already asking for you to come back and play Mario Kart with him.
You are missed!!!

What's going on with us?

Well, right now, there is quite a bit going on. Last summer we decided to move to Wilmington, NC, and put our house on the market. We moved our family of 3(at the time-- within a month it became 4) into one room that we shared with a lot of my dad's storage. So, now, 9 months later, we are finally closing on our house Aug. 8th and getting our own place in Wilmington. That's not all that is happening on August 8th. That day is also the day my parents arrive in Wyoming for a family reunion after driving the USA for a week and a half. So, no help from them with moving. August 8th is also Chandra's due date-- hopefully she is talking her doctor into breaking her water as I type this so my parents get to see the baby before they leave. In the middle of all of this going on, we need to finalize a place for us in Wilmington, celebrate Ragno's birthday in Fayetteville, and I have one of my CTR 8's at church getting baptized that she asked me to speak at.

Hopefully all of this doesn't "stress out" Isabelle. If you know what I am talking about, then you know what I mean.
